UNH M(1) : Message header

A service segment starting and uniquely identifying a message. The message type code for the Container special handling order message is COHAOR. Note: Container special handling order messages conforming to this document must contain the following data in segment UNH, composite S009: Data element 0065 COHAOR 0052 D 0054 03A 0051 UN

BGM M(1) : Beginning of message

A segment to indicate the beginning of a message and to transmit identifying number.

DTM C(9) : Date/time/period

A segment to indicate a date and time applying to the whole message, such as: - ultimate execution date/time

FTX C(9) : Free text

A segment to specify free form or processable supplementary information, such as: - change information

SG1 C(9) : RFF-DTM

A group of segments containing a reference and constants which apply to the entire message.

RFF M(1) : Reference

A segment to express a reference which applies to the entire message, such as: - reference to previous message - work order reference number

DTM C(9) : Date/time/period

A segment to indicate a date and time relating to the reference, such as: - order date/time (work order)

SG2 M(9) : NAD-SG3

A group of segments to identify a party and related contacts.

NAD M(1) : Name and address

A segment to identify the party's name, address, and function, such as: - message recipient - message sender - ordering customer (if different from message sender)

SG3 C(9) : CTA-COM

A group of segments to identify a contact and its communications related to the party.

CTA M(1) : Contact information

A segment to identify a person or department for the party, such as: - information contact

COM C(9) : Communication contact

A segment to identify a communication number of a person or department to whom communication should be directed.

A segment to specify container prefix and number.

A segment to provide a date and time relating to the equipment, such as: - inspection date/time - release date/time

LOC C(9) : Place/location identification

A segment to provide a location relating to the equipment, such as: - place of inspection

FTX C(9) : Free text

A segment to specify processable supplementary information associated with the container, such as: - description work item equipment (on terminal, depot or freight station)

GOR C(9) : Governmental requirements

A segment to specify a governmental requirement relating to the equipment, such as: - government procedure to be conducted

HAN C(9) : Handling instructions

A segment to specify a handling instruction relating to the equipment, such as: - put aside for cleaning - put aside for Customs examination

MEA C(9) : Measurements

A segment to specify measurements related to the equipment.

PCD C(9) : Percentage details

A segment to specify percentages related to the equipment such as percentage humidity.

A group of segments to specify related transport details for the equipment.

TDT M(1) : Transport information

A segment to specify main carriage transport details.

DTM C(9) : Date/time/period

A segment to specify a date and time related to transport details such as arrival and departure date and time.

A group of segments to specify locations associated with the transport details.

LOC M(1) : Place/location identification

A segment to specify a location associated with the transport details, such as: - place of departure - place of arrival

A segment to identify a person or department to be contacted regarding the dangerous goods.

A segment to specify communication details of the contact specified in the CTA segment.

A segment group to identify transport related temperature settings.

TMP M(1) : Temperature

A segment to specify the type of transport related temperature such as storage, transport or operating temperature and also to optionally specify a single value temperature setting.

RNG C(1) : Range details

A segment to optionally specify the transport related temperature as a range of values.

CNT C(1) : Control total

A segment to specify the number of containers in the message, explicitly given by the sender.

UNT M(1) : Message trailer

A service segment ending a message, giving the total number of segments in the message (including the UNH & UNT) and the control reference number of the message.
