A message to transmit information about equipment (mostly containers) and goods on a means of transport (typically a container vessel), including their location on the means of transport.

M(1) : Message header

A service segment starting and uniquely identifying a message. The message type code for the Bayplan/stowage plan occupied and empty locations message is BAPLIE. Note: Bayplan/stowage plan occupied and empty locations messages conforming to this document must contain the following data in segment UNH, composite S009: Data element 0065 BAPLIE 0052 D 0054 17A 0051 UN

BGM

M(1) : Beginning of message

A segment to indicate the type and function of the message and to transmit the identifying number. The type and function of a BAPLIE message are determined by the following 3 components: C002.1001: Type of bayplan, "full" or "partial" C002.1000: In the case of a partial bayplan provides additional defining text DE 1373: status of bayplan, "draft" or "actual".

A segment to indicate dates and times for the entire message including the date and time of the preparation of the message.

A group of segments to specify the document or message to which the current message relates, and related dates and times.

A segment to identify a reference which applies to the entire message, e.g. the reference to a previous message.

A group of segments identifying the means of transport and related details for a transport stage. Transmission of this group is mandatory for the current stage of transport.

A segment to provide transport information for this transport stage such as the means of transport and discharge voyage number.

A segment to identify references for this transport stage such as the loading voyage number.
